Lithuanian Lithuanian Dance Groups

Saw Liepa's dance performance Saturday: fun. Two things I noticed. First, half the groups didn't hold hands while making gates: lazy, and sloppy, despite the more identical angle. Second, all the groups wore uniforms, in old Soviet style. I realize it's cheaper, but really, is it worth being a communist just to save a few bucks?

was every single dancer wearing the same uniform or was each individual group wearing uniforms? where did you learn that uniforms alone are Soviet? are there any groups that do not wear uniforms?

Maybe the dancers weren't supposed to hold hands. I seem to recall some dances where you just put your hands up at an angle and they meet, instead of holding hands. Of course if it was 50% one way, and 50% the other way than either way they were getting it wrong. Berzelis also had a concert recently and it was less than perfect.

each group had its own uniform, and all dancers wore them. where did i learn they're soviet? i don't remember, but it's part elementary, my dear darius. in the cccp everything was mass produced because that was more efficient and it served to remind everyone that you're not special, you're a cog, don't resist. who's gonna be a partizanas if everyone's a cog? nobody. but who's gonna be a partizanas if everyone, or every family has its own national costumes? many people. were there many partizanai that rose up against the cccp? yes. therefore, before soviet times there were no uniforms.

trash, at least one dance i've danced myself at sokiu svente, so either 20 groups in chicago did it wrong, or this group decided to be lazy.

speaking of less than perfect, there was a dance with stilts. all the men were on stilts for the whole dance. only two fell down...

This is my counter:
