well, i finally made my father a 32 minute dvd of the past years photos with soundtrack and video clips. it took me exactly one full excruciating day. one hour of that was figuring out how the fuck to remove the titles i had added: when i added more pictures, the titles didn't move over together with the pictures they were supposed to be on, so we ended up with the "Christmas 2006" title on a beach photo, for instance. you can't possibly imagine how complicated it was to delete them, because it's un-fucking-fathomable. the help tool was useless. i even turned on skype to tell him it was ruined after 12 hours work, but he wasn't there. it's only by the greatest stroke of luck that i stumbled upon it, and then i summarily forgot and had to retrace my steps for the next titles, that's how nonsensical windows movie maker is.
of course, i guess i'm spoiled because i grew up with a mac. this dvd is measly compared to the vignette a&e biography lokys and i made of ourselves with ease three years ago.

We just got a mac. Totally fed up with the inefficient windows crap. Macs are definitely better with the videos and slideshow effects. So what's new? I've dropped you a line a few times via e-mail but haven't heard back.

what's new is truck fulls of work to do everyday, not counting my master's paper, due in 11 days, a speech i have to give at a conference section i'm supposed to moderate next week, a school-principal focus group i'm hosting this afternoon, all the family planning, i have to buy new dress shirts, sarunas is taking forever with his measurements for tux rental, i don't have time to shave my whole face so i only shave my neck and my, i know too many secrets, my baby speaks more lithuanian than english, which is good in principle, but i'm the one teaching her english, so i wish i was doing a better job. she's already forming long sentences in lithuanian, but the longest thing she'll say in english is "this is bananas!"
those guys are wusses. water?! although, i can only say that i got better at beer pong the more i drank. well, maybe that was just perceived. the video is impressive though, if just for the fact that you know they went through hundreds of takes before getting the moneyshots.

just to be clear, it was aras who destroyed the world, not me. Also you couldn't be more right arai, we literally knew nothing about making movies and after taking some video with a photo camera had an entire movie in no time. Although to be fair i believe we needed sirvydas to the terminator music for us, and i believe he did it on mama's windows computer.

i'll youtube funny video of animanls and drunks, no problem. but a 32 minute intimate home movie of my family is different, though i don't mean "intimate" that way, perverts!
