Atlas Shrugged
Such a good book. Teaching literature for eight months has given me an appreciation of literature. Isn't that convenient? It's a weird new standard. It's as if my standards have gone down, because I now appreciate much more than I used to, but it's actually just because I was always interested in narrative rather than the art of its conveyance.

i tried read atlas shrugged but quit after a few chapters. this could've been due to the fact that i had just finished re-reading fountainhead, so i guess i could've been ayn rand'ed out.
this is not to say that i don't think he writing is excellent and probably the best there is out there. ayn rand, a philosophically sophisticated ideological stalwart was nonetheless able to write volumes of entertaining, descriptive fiction that is beautiful and engaging.
