Yesterday I bought my mother (me) a DVD player. 319 lits, plus 30 to have its region restrictions lifted (after a 10 lit "pedagogue discount" i managed). i had to drive back to the fuckin store cause the cords weren't included. WTF?
and today i bought me a new cell phone! YEAH! i'm happy, cause it's nokia. now lokys or liepa gets to use my crappy siemens piece of, i mean, perfectly cromulent phone. it's got a camera, which is neat, but it's low quality, the higher quality phone looked somehow childish, which made me afraid i would forget it's mine and leave it somewhere. the phone is actually the same one they gave my mother to use at work, which means i'm as prestigious as she is :D

i just ordered a new phone as well. i should be getting it next week: Samsung d415.
it also has a camera, and ~~drumroll~~ it should be able to send and receive international sms's and mms's!! huzzah!
i wish mine was your nokia, making me as prestigious as yourself, but mine is normally worth $300, but i got it for free. i bet you it will be a pos.
Here's the actual link to how my phone looks:
Samsung d415
Boy, I wish I could afford a cell phone. Maybe some day . . .
wait wtf, and by wtf i mean WTF?!?! jim has always been so anti-cell phone that it's boggled his children's minds: first with new computers, cameras, video technology, tivo...vehemently anti cell phone.
and dariau, i got this phone for 29 lits by signing a two year contract, which will allow me to send sms and mms to the states two, but only to two providers, i think they're cingular and, um, bell atlantic, does that still exist?
p.s. here's my phone: http://www.nokia.lt/phones/models/n6610i/
Aras, do you detect a pattern to my prejudice?
Your phone is neat. Bell Atlantic no longer exists. They are now Verizon, which is the service I have had since I moved back to the Greatest City on Earth. As far as I can tell, they are the only cell phone company that doesn't allow international messaging. I will now have T-Mobile, which assures me that I should now be able to do everything I would like to do. Namely, send you photos from my phone. I'll be able to send 40/month.
T-mobile was my provider of choice when I was still living in the States, and even better, they're one of the few providers that have an excellent selection of nokia phones. I had a samsung when I was with them though. Samsungs are good, but nokias are the best in my opinion.
I've been thinking about buying this one, but I'm reluctant because its a pain to write sms's with, as there's no keypad.
sarunai, my mother laughed at me when i pointed that phone out to her through a store window.
tete, how can there be a pattern when there's only one prejudice?!
my buddy has one of those phones sarunas was looking at. it's very cool. i wanted to hold out for this phone, but i couldn't wait, and it's still not out.
